Yes wait at least 4 weeks after any lip filler treatment before booking. Have your lip blush done when filler has fully settled so the tattoo is designed for that stable shape long-term.
Any trauma to the lip area can trigger a cold sore outbreak in clients who carry the herpes simplex virus. We strongly recommend consulting your doctor about taking antiviral medication prophylactically starting 2 days before your appointment. You must disclose a history of cold sores when booking. Do not book if you have an active outbreak.
Keep lips well moisturised in the week before. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 24 hours before. Arrive with clean lips and no lip product.
The lips swell and the colour is much more intense immediately after. In days 3 to 7 the lips peel and the colour appears to nearly disappear this is completely normal. The fully settled result is visible at 4 to 6 weeks. The perfecting appointment at 6 to 8 weeks refines the healed result.
Apply the provided aftercare balm every few hours for the first week. No lip makeup for 10 days. Avoid spicy, salty, or acidic foods for the first few days. Avoid sun exposure and do not submerge in water for 10 days.
