Studio Terms of Service

Welcome to Belle Âme Skin & Beauty Lounge. By booking an appointment with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are designed to protect both our clients and our specialists while ensuring the best possible experience.

Booking & Payment

• A valid credit card is required to hold all appointments. Your card will not be charged at the time of booking.
• Service fees are due in full at the time of treatment.
• All major payment types are accepted, including credit cards, debit, and cash.
• If cancellation or no-show policies apply, fees will be automatically charged to the card on file.

Qualifications for Procedures

For your safety and the best results, you may not be eligible for certain services if the following apply.

Permanent Makeup, Microneedling & Camouflage

• Pregnant or breastfeeding
• Sunburn in the treatment area
• Eczema in the treatment area
• Use of Accutane in the past 12 months
• Botox injections within the last month
• Epilepsy diagnosis
• Currently undergoing chemotherapy (doctor's clearance required)
• Diabetes (doctor's note required)
• HIV, Hepatitis, or Jaundice diagnosis

Teeth Whitening

• Pregnant or breastfeeding
• Under 16 years of age
• Crowns, veneers, or dental bonding in the visible treatment area (whitening does not affect restorations)
• Active tooth decay, cavities, or gum disease (dental clearance required)
• Severe tooth sensitivity or exposed dentin
• Known allergy to carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide
• Recent dental surgery or extractions within the past 4 weeks
• Worn or cracked enamel

Lash Extensions & UV Lash Extensions

• Active eye infections, conjunctivitis, or styes
• Known allergy to cyanoacrylate (lash adhesive)
• Recent eye surgery

Lash Lift, Brow Lamination & Tinting

• Known allergy to tinting or perming solutions
• Recent brow or eye procedures
• Active infections or swelling in the treatment area

Facial Waxing

• Active skin infections, open wounds, or sunburn in the treatment area
• Use of Accutane, Retin-A, or prescription retinoids (increased skin sensitivity)
• Recent chemical peels or laser treatments in the area

General Policies

• Arrival: Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Late arrivals may result in shortened service time or rescheduling.
• Consultations: A consultation may be required before certain treatments to ensure suitability and desired results.
• Patch Tests: Patch tests are available and strongly recommended for clients with sensitivities to tinting, perming, or adhesive solutions. Patch test availability and documentation are managed at the time of booking.
• Results: Individual results may vary depending on skin type, healing, and adherence to aftercare instructions. Results cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellation & No-Show Policies

All cancellations and rescheduling requests require a minimum of 48 hours notice. Fees are charged to the card on file as outlined below.

Lash Extensions & UV Lash Extensions: Additional Notes

• Please arrive with clean lashes, free of makeup.
• Refills are generally required every 2 to 3 weeks.

Facial Waxing: Pre and Post Care

• Arrive with clean skin, free of lotion and makeup.
• Hair must be at least 1/4 inch long.
• Avoid tanning or sun exposure 48 hours prior to your appointment.
• After your appointment, avoid heat, saunas, hot showers, and exercise for 24 hours. Use SPF and exfoliate gently after a few days.

Medical Disclaimers

• Clients must disclose all medical conditions, recent procedures, and medications prior to treatment.
• Some services are not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding clients, or for those with certain health conditions.
• Results vary per individual and cannot be guaranteed.

Informed Consent for Services

Photo and social media consent is handled separately via the in-studio consent form. Use of before-and-after images for portfolio, social media, or educational purposes requires your explicit written opt-in and is never assumed.

Refund Policy

All services are non-refundable once performed. Touch-up appointments are available as separate bookable services and are listed with applicable fees on our booking site. Belle Âme does not offer refunds for completed treatments on the basis of individual healing variation, failure to follow aftercare instructions, or subjective dissatisfaction with results that fall within the normal expected range for the procedure.

In the event of a documented service error or adverse reaction directly attributable to our practice, please contact us immediately so we can assess the situation and determine an appropriate resolution.

Liability & Right to Refuse Service

• All treatments are elective. By booking, clients accept the inherent risks associated with cosmetic and paramedical procedures.
• Belle Âme is not liable for complications or dissatisfaction with outcomes resulting from individual healing variation, undisclosed medical conditions, failure to follow aftercare instructions, or factors beyond our control.
• We reserve the right to refuse service at any time for reasons including contraindications, safety concerns, or client non-compliance with our policies.

Client Acknowledgment

By scheduling an appointment at Belle Âme Skin & Beauty Lounge, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service. You acknowledge that service-specific consent forms will be provided and must be signed in studio prior to treatment, and that those forms govern the specifics of your informed consent for each procedure.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
